Middle School Mission Trips
Marlee has been on six mission trips with her church and will be doing more in the future. On the mission trip this past summer, Marlee and mission trip attendees visited the Navajo Nation where they helped restore a church and held a Vacation Bible School. Marlee was a leader and one of few 8th graders on this middle school trip. The conditions were extremely primitive.
“This was my best mission trip out of my six mission trips. We had no running water. It was sad to see how the Navajo’s have to live with such primitive conditions, so I was so happy to help them. My trip to the Navajo Nation made me very grateful for what I have.”

Public Speaking
One of Marlee's passions is public speaking and she has had many opportunities to do just that. She spoke at her 8th grade graduation ceremony. Marlee Emceed National Gymnastics Day September 20th, 2014 at TIGAR Gymnastics, including announcing routines for Venezuelan Olympian, Jessica Lopez.
The all-day event raised money, over $1,000 which was

RIGHT TO PLAY
a global organization, using the transformative power of play to educate and empower children and youth. Through playing sports and games, we teach children essential life skills that will help them overcome the effects of poverty, conflict and disease so that they can create better futures and drive lasting social change in their communities and beyond. Founded in 2000 by four-time Olympic gold medalist and social entrepreneur Johann Olav Koss, our programs are facilitated by more than 13,500 local volunteer Coaches and more than 600 international staff.
Mean Street Ministry was born out of vision of a few people who saw the unaddressed need to help the homeless, and ultimately to help these families get into their own decent apartments. Some of these families are living in motels and some are homeless. Marlee has participated with this ministry by picking vegetables at a local farm to distribute to the

families. Another way Marlee has helped this group is by collecting personal toiletry items and buying Christmas gifts during the holidays.
Performing for a retirement home.
Always the performer, Marlee does some pretty awesome tricks for a
lovely group of ladies in a retirement home. I'm sure she had a great
time and made some ladies smile!
